This Sloan V-651-A Vacuum Breaker Repair Kit can be used in all Sloan Flushometers. The vacuum breaker acts as a one way valve that allows water to flow down thru it, but won’t allow water to siphon back up. It also allows air to pass thru the vents in the side of the vacuum breaker tube to break the vacuum that is created at the end of the flush cycle.

A: Here are a couple things that you can check to fix the issue. You can clean out your vacuum breaker tube by cleaning it with a wire brush, sanding out the inside, or cleaning the tube with a CLR cleaner.
