The rubber diaphragm has a 3-1/4” diameter and is 3/16” thick with a 1-1/6” hole in the center. There is a brass “weep hole” formed into the rubber diaphragm. The bottom of the diaphragm is stamped “this side down” for easy installation.
The chemicals in water break down the rubber diaphragm. See the “performance” kits below for the upgraded diaphragm with permex rubber that resists the chemicals.
Not enough water flow can be a sign that the rubber diaphragm needs replacement.
